VoiceThread bridges the gap between real-time discussions and standard video lectures or online presentations. It is not just a “discussion†tool but a tool that can be employed for instruction and assessment of student thinking and learning.
While VoiceThread's commitment to accessibility is strong, it is still in a process of development. As such, while some features of VoiceThread are accessible, there are other features that are still limited and may present barriers for students with disabilities. As you develop your course content, don't hesitate to contact us to find out more about how DRC is working to increase access to this tool and how we can collaborate with you and the student to ensure the information is accessible.
VoiceThread Universal is an HTML version of VoiceThread which increases access for individuals who use screen readers and keyboard-only input.
