Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 14, 2026 · Last evaluated: October 14, 2026

The University of Arizona is committed to making its digital information and services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This website exists to help the University community create accessible content, so we hold it to the same standard we ask of others, and we tell you plainly where we still fall short.

Our standard

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the University's institutional standard. WCAG 2.2 Level AA includes everything in WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard required for state and local government entities, including public universities, under the U.S. Department of Justice's ADA Title II rule.

Current status

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every issue found in our most recent evaluation, on October 14, 2026, has been fixed.

Automated tools cannot find every problem, and our manual testing with screen readers and other assistive technologies is still under way, so we do not yet claim full conformance. If something on this site does not work for you, please tell us.

Content we do not control

Some content on this site comes from, or links to, other organizations, such as software vendors, government agencies, and standards bodies. We choose these resources carefully, but we cannot guarantee their accessibility. If an outside resource we recommend does not work for you, contact us and we will help you find an accessible alternative.

How we evaluate this website

  • Most recent evaluation: October 14, 2026.
  • Automated testing: we test pages with the axe-core accessibility engine against WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Level A and AA rules.
  • Manual review: we inspect pages by hand, check that every link goes where it says it does, and review content for accuracy.
  • Assistive technology testing: we are adding regular testing with screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, to our review process.
  • How often: we review the site regularly and whenever we make significant changes, and we update this statement after each review.

Technical information

This website is built on Arizona Quickstart, the University's Drupal-based website platform. It relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA to work with your web browser and any assistive technology you use, and it is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers and screen readers.

Tell us about a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you need information in a different format, we want to hear from you. It helps if you tell us:

  • the web address (URL) of the page,
  • what you were trying to do and what happened, and
  • the web browser and any assistive technology you were using, if you know.

You can reach us in any of these ways:

If you need content right away, tell us, and we will provide it in an accessible format as quickly as we can.
